Custom Fabric R&D

Your colour.
Your function.
Your fabric.

We develop bespoke fabrics from scratch — matching your exact Pantone shade, engineering the functional finish you need, and delivering lab-certified samples before a single metre goes into production.

Common questions

Before you enquire.

Q1What is the minimum order for custom dyeing?
The minimum is 500 metres per colourway. For smaller quantities, we can recommend stock fabrics in the closest available shade.
Q2How long does the full development process take?
Typically 4–6 weeks from brief to bulk-ready: 1 week lab sample, 1–2 weeks approval rounds, 2–3 weeks bulk production. Rush available on request.
Q3Can I combine colour development with a functional coating?
Yes — and this is common. For example, FR-treated fabrics in custom brand colours for fire services. Colour and function are developed simultaneously.
Q4Will I receive a third-party test report?
Yes. All functional coatings are verified by ISO-accredited third-party laboratories. You receive the full report for your compliance documentation.
Q5What information do I need to submit?
At minimum: your colour reference (Pantone number or swatch), functional requirement, and intended end-use industry. We send a detailed questionnaire after initial contact.
Q6Is there a development fee?
Lab sampling fees apply (typically waived on confirmed bulk orders). All costs are itemised transparently in our initial quote. No hidden charges.

Tell us what you need. We'll develop it.

Fill in as much detail as you have. Our R&D team responds within 1 business day with a feasibility assessment and indicative pricing.
