Gingham is a yarn-dyed check pattern created by weaving colored warp and weft threads in a balanced plain weave structure. The colored yarns intersect with white (or contrasting color) yarns to produce a distinctive grid pattern. Unlike printed checks, gingham’s color is woven into the fabric — the check is visible on both sides and will not wash out.

Gingham is the classic pattern for restaurant front-of-house, kitchen uniforms, school uniforms, and hospitality roles where an approachable, recognizable uniform appearance is desired.
