Recycled polyester (rPET) is manufactured from post-consumer PET bottles — processed, pelletized, and extruded into polyester filament or staple fiber that is chemically identical to virgin polyester. The performance — strength, wrinkle resistance, wash durability, colorfastness — is the same as virgin polyester. The environmental impact is significantly lower.

Q: What is the price difference vs. virgin polyester? A: Recycled polyester typically costs 10–20% more than virgin polyester at the fabric level. This premium is driven by the collection, sorting, and recycling process. For large-volume programs (10,000+ meters), the premium narrows to 8–12%.

Q: Do you offer fabrics with blended recycled content (e.g., 50% rPET, 50% virgin)? A: Yes — we can blend recycled and virgin polyester in any ratio. This is common for programs that want to phase in recycled content gradually, or that have a minimum recycled content target (e.g., “minimum 30% recycled content”).

Q: Is recycled polyester available with functional finishes (FR, antimicrobial, DWR)? A: Yes — all finishes available on our standard fabrics can be applied to recycled polyester base fabrics. The functional finish performance is identical. Lead time additive for finish: 5–7 days.

Q: What documentation do you provide for GRS compliance? A: GRS Scope Certificate (for the facility), GRS Transaction Certificate (for each shipment), and a product specification sheet showing recycled content percentage. All documentation is provided in English.
